Ultimate Trout Fishing Guide

Lures are usually used to attract fish. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. It is the fisherman's job to know what is working now for attracting trout. Around here they are using black, brown, yellow with red markings or fly fishing lures with bright feathers on them.

Lures work best when there is no wind and the sun is out. They don't work so well when it's raining, cloudy, or in the winter months.

To use a lure you just cast it out into the water and reel it back in. You can also twirl your rod to make the lure go in circles, this will attract much fish because they think that there's a food source at the center of it.

It is always better to buy several different fishing rods so you can try different lures and find what really attracts fish in your area. After you've found what works, keep using it until something else becomes popular.

Fishing Rods: You need at least two fishing rods to go trout fishing. It is better to have four or more, because if you lose one you can just switch out with another. Make sure that the rods are sturdy and unbroken before going out into the water.

Brand new hooks: Fishing hooks should be replaced as soon as you catch a fish. If they are rusty, it is recommended to replace them. You can buy new ones at a local store or just bring back your old rusty one and have them give you a new one for free.

Bait: Bait also needs to be replaced if it has been sitting in the sun for several hours. The worms can also wiggle out of the container, which is not good for attracting fish. Make sure to buy several containers, so that you can empty one and fill it up with new bait while the other one is sitting in the sun.

Sinkers: Lures need something heavy on them to get to the bottom of the water fast enough. Sinkers are small weights that any fisherman should have. They can be bought at any store or just brought back the ones you used up last time.

Plugs: These are tiny lures with bright colors, used to catch fish when they aren't hungry enough to eat worms. They look like tiny fishes and come in all sorts of colors.

Fly Fishing Lures: These are the most popular lures used in trout fishing. They look like little birds with bright feathers on them. They work when you make them move in circles, which is called "twirling." If there is no wind, they will attract fish because they think that it's a food source at the center of it.
