What Is Best Time For Bass Fishing
Bass fishing time is determined by the season of the year and your location. Bass are considered to be a large-sized species, thus they can feed on smaller species if their food sources are limited in numbers due to various conditions such as weather changes, population or any other factor. In summertime bass fishing is considered to be less difficult than in wintertime, when the natural food of bass is limited. The most productive fishing methods are trolling and baitcasting. Bass love to feed on smaller fish so lures which look like them can be of great help while fishing for bass. You can buy live or artificial baits or lures at any local shop, or you can make your own lures, which is actually quite fun and can be very profitable. Bass fishing in wintertime is more productive than summertime because bass are more active during wintertime. Winter lures should be made of natural fish-based materials such as live or artificial bait fish, minnows or crawlers.
Bass fishing is different depending on the location of where you are doing it. The best time for bass fishing varies by region. In Texas, one of the best places to fish for bass, the best time is around springtime.
The Springtime is when the weather starts to warm up. The Spring season typically lasts from February through May where you are most likely to find active bass fishing conditions. When the weather warms up in spring, bass become more active and can be found moving out of the deep cover where they spend the winter to shallower waters.
The bass fishing is quite easy during this period because all you need to do is go out on a boat, cast your line and wait for some big one to hit it. The spring season ends in May where the water gets warmer which leads it back into their nests.
Since the Spring season is when the water warms up, it becomes difficult to fish because bass are harder to find during these months. Although it's not impossible, your catching rate won't be high.
The Summertime is from June until late September where the water temperature reaches its highest point which leads some species of fish to make their way into deeper waters to avoid the heat. During this time, most species of fish are in deeper waters where they will feed on smaller fish which is why bass fishing is quite difficult during summer.
The bass move into their nests and become less active, especially when it gets too hot. Since the water is at its highest point you'll find them feeding on smaller fish, the same type of fish you can find in bait shops. You have more opportunities to catch some bass during the summertime because they are feeding on smaller fish but your catching rate won't be high.
The Fall season is between late September and December where it gets colder which attracts the fish back into shallow waters. The fall fishing conditions begin to improve toward the end of September when water temperatures cool and the bass become active again.
Since it is colder during this time, bass move to shallow waters where they can feed on crawfish and other smaller fish. They also begin spawning which means that the females will be full of eggs and males will be full of energy trying to mate with them. This is the best time to go fishing for bass.
The Wintertime is from December until February where water temperatures are coldest and the fish become less active. During this period, bass stay in deeper areas of water where they can find their favorite food which are crawfish, frogs, mice or any other small creatures that live under the rocks.
Winter lures should be made of natural fish-based materials such as live or artificial baitfish, minnows, crawlers and leeches. Winter fishing conditions are good but the catching rate won't be high because bass have become less active during this time.
